Bauchi Sharia Court Jails Man For Stealing Mosque Fan

The presiding judge of Bauchi Shariah Court II has sentenced one Salisu Aliyu to 15 months imprisonment for stealing fan from Dass Park Mosque.

The 25-years-old convict conceded to committing the offence.

The judge ruled that the imprisonment is with a fine option of N30,000 and 30 lashes of cane before the court.

In another judgement, Mukhtar sentenced one Abduljalal Sadiq to seven months imprisonment for stealing wheelbarrow. The judge said the convict had an option of paying N7,000 and 12 lashes before the court.

Abduljala admitted to have stolen the wheelbarrow and sold it out to metal collectors.
