BBNaija’s Queen Atang Confirms End Of Marriage To David Oyekanmi

Big Brother Naija Reality TV star Queen Mercy Atang has confirmed the end of her marriage to David Oyekanmi.

The former BBNaija housemate addressed her marital status in a now-deleted Instagram comment.

Responding to a fan who asked, “Queen, hope you are still married because you are too beautiful to be single,” she replied, “Single and unavailable.”

This confirmation followed months of speculation about a split, which began in August when the couple unfollowed each other on Instagram.

Around the same time, Queen also removed all wedding photos and videos from her social media pages.

Queen and David had a whirlwind romance in 2024, getting engaged in February and holding their traditional, court, and white wedding ceremonies within the same year.

The reality star had previously shared that she received three signs from God before agreeing to marry David. Though friends since 2016, when they met at a beauty pageant, Queen admitted she “never really thought David would be my husband” until she received the final sign.

She explained, “I told God I needed three signs before going into this relationship. I saw two signs, but the third one did not come, and I told him I am not going into something I am not sure of.

“He said he is very certain that I am his wife. So he told me that he wanted to go for an interview. I prayed and asked God if David was mine, that this thing he is about to do, let it come to pass. After a few minutes, he called me to say that he had gotten it,” she narrated.
