Belgium delivered a resounding statement of intent ahead of the upcoming World Cup, dismantling a hapless Tunisia side 5-0 in an international friendly match Saturday.

The comprehensive victory will undoubtedly send a shiver down the spines of Belgium’s World Cup opponents, while offering a stark reality check for the World Cup-bound Tunisians.

The Red Devils showcased their attacking prowess from the outset, with Leandro Trossard opening the scoring in the 28th minute, assisted by Jeremy Doku, to give Belgium a 1-0 lead at half-time.

The second half saw Belgium truly hit their stride. Charles De Ketelaere doubled the advantage in the 53rd minute, with Youri Tielemans providing the assist. Kevin De Bruyne then joined the goalfest in the 65th minute, again set up by Doku, making it 3-0.

As the match neared its conclusion, Belgium continued to press their advantage.

Dodi Lukébakio added a fourth in the 85th minute, with Romelu Lukaku providing the assist, before Nicolas Raskin rounded off the scoring just two minutes later, making it a spectacular 5-0 whitewash.

Tunisia, despite making a couple of substitutions in the second half, including the introduction of Ismael Gharbi, struggled to create meaningful chances throughout the match. This heavy defeat will undoubtedly force a re-evaluation of their strategies as they prepare for the global tournament. Belgium, on the other hand, will take immense confidence from this dominant performance.
