Afrobeats singer, Bella Shmurda has once again struck an emotional chord with his new song, ‘My G’ a soulful track that captures the blend of friendship, loyalty, and gratitude that defines much of his artistry.

Known for his streetwise lyrics and deep connection to real-life experiences, Bella’s new single goes beyond entertainment, it tells a story of survival, reflection, and grace.

Bella uses My G to celebrate the people who stood beside him long before fame and recognition found him. The track speaks to loyalty, a theme deeply rooted in Bella’s personal journey from the streets of Okokomaiko to global music stages.

Unlike most Afrobeats songs that chase catchy hooks and dance rhythms, My G carries emotional weight. It invites listeners to slow down and feel the rhythm of gratitude. In the song, Bella’s voice blends pain with peace, and giving his fans a glimpse into his maturity as an artist who has seen both struggle and success.

My G is part of Bella Shmurda’s (Abiola Ahmed Akinbiyi) recently released 16-track album titled Sanity and it has a mid-tempo percussion and relatable lyrics.

Bella’s Sanity project, which features collaborations with K1 De Ultimate, CKay, and Seyi Vibez.

The album, according to Apple Music and Cosoro Radio UK, explores balance, growth, and the mental clarity that comes with learning to stay grounded amid fame. Industry watchers have described it as one of his most introspective projects yet.

In a world where artists often chase trends, Bella Shmurda’s My G stands as a reminder that music still has room for meaning. It’s not just a song, it’s a heartbeat, a story of growth, and a tribute to the friends and memories that keep a man sane in a restless world.

The musician rose to prominence in 2019 with the release of the song “Vision 2020”, and a follow-up remix which featured Olamide.
