Speaking on behalf of the scholarship committee, Chairman Mr. Emmanuel Ugwu expressed his admiration for the significant achievement of the scholarship scheme.

Ugwu stated this on Tuesday when Barr. Nkwuo received and hosted some of the beneficiaries including their parents who came in solidarity to appreciate the unflinching support at the Council Secretariat.

He conveyed his gratitude to Council Boss, Barr. Nkwuo, acknowledging that the tuition fees for all beneficiaries had been fully covered in their respective institutions.

Meanwhile, one of the beneficiaries, Miss Okonkwo Jennifer, conveyed the sentiments of her fellow recipients.

She praised Barr. Nkwuo as a providential figure, commending his benevolence towards humanity and the opportunity to pursue their chosen courses of study.

She stated, “We extend our heartfelt appreciation to council chairman Barr. Chimezie Robinson Nkwuo for his remarkable generosity. We pledge not only to bring honor to Enugu South but also to the council chairman and the entire Enugu State. We hold immense gratitude for you and earnestly pray that the Almighty continues to elevate you.”

The parents of the beneficiaries, led by Elder Jacob Odoh, expressed their thankfulness and offered prayers for the chairman’s longevity, further achievements in leadership, and continued success in his political endeavors.

Earlier, Barr. Nkwuo charged beneficiaries of his University Scholarship Scheme to be focused, study hard, and uphold good reputations in their various schools in pursuit of their educational carrier to justify the huge investment made for their benefit.

Nkwuo said: “The decision to carter for their school fees while in university is driven by his personal and administrative understanding that capacity building (education), is a pivotal key to achieving great success in life.

“My goal is to raise not less than 100 persons academically, starting from their first degree, Masters and Ph.D. level. I pray and wish all selected students well as they continue to study and strive for academic excellence in their various fields of studies and respective institutions.”
