Belgian international Christian Benteke has won the 2024 Major League Soccer (MLS) Golden Boot Award.

The two-time Major League Soccer All-Star scored 23 goals this season for DC United to beat Inter Miami’s duo of Lionel Messi and Luis Suárez to clinch the award.

LAFC’s Dénis Bouanga (20 goals), and Columbus Crew’s Cucho Hernández (19 goals) also finished behind Benteke.

Benteke has also become the third DC United player to win the award after Dwayne De Rosario in 2011 (16 goals) and Luciano Emilio in 2007 (20 goals).
