Benue Housewife Beats Step Son To Death

Benue State Police Command has confirmed the arrest of a house wife, Mrs Apev For allegedly beating her 10-year-old step son, Fanen Yange, to death.

The police public relations officer, Catherine Anene who disclosed this in a statement said, “On the 23/1/2023 at about 1700hours, a case of culpable homicide was reported at ‘E’ Police Division, Makurdi, where a team of detectives were deployed immediately for investigation.”

She said, “Preliminary investigation revealed that the deceased, master Fanen, a 10 year old boy residing at International Market Area in Makurdi was alleged by his step mother, Mrs. Apev to have stolen meat from the pot where she beat him up during the early hours of the day and when the victim went to sleep at night, he could not wake up again.”

Anene said  Master Fanen has been confirmed dead by the doctor and his corpse is already deposited at Bishop Murray Hospital morgue, Makurdi for autopsy.
