The director-general of the commission, Engr. Comfort Adadu, who disclosed this when she hosted the State Working Committee of the Nigeria Union of Journalists  (NUJ), said the commission would ensure value for all government spendings.

Engr. Adadu explained that the BSPPC was established in 2020 under the Benue State Fiscal Transparency, Accountability and Sustainability Programme to ensure efficiency, accountability and equal opportunities in the public procurement processes.

While describing the Governor Hyacinth Alia as the man of due process, she said all procurement approvals in the state were backed by certificates of no objection to ensure that projects given aligned with budgetary provisions to prevent overspending and reduce debts.

She gave the major challenges facing the commission to include inadequate funding and office space, expressing optimism that these challenges would soon be addressed.
