This is even as the governor offered a year’s tax rebate to investors willing to invest in the state, advising those intending to cause insecurity to steer clear, especially now that there is relative peace.

“I am urging all youths to be calm because the government has a series of programmes that will take youths off the streets, adding that conversation for new jobs is on top gear to begin new employment by the second week of January, so there will be no room for criminality,” the governor said.

Alia who disclosed this during the distribution of 56 trucks of assorted food items sent into the state by President Bola Tinubu to caution against the effect of subsidy removal on Benue people explained that the items are going to be distributed across the 276 council wards of the State to enable citizens to enjoy Christmas and new year celebration.

Alia said, “I want to tell you that the First phase of the subsidy removal palliatives was the distribution of fertilizer to farmers at a subsidized rate, the second was the commissioning and donating of 100 brand new buses to Benue Links Nigeria Ltd to reduce the high cost of transportation during the festive periods while the 3rd phase is the distribution of grains.”
