Benue State youths have arrested an alleged serial child trafficker identified as Doosuur who has been on the run.
The state commander of the National Agency for Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP) Gloria Bai who confirmed the incident said the suspect who is a serial trafficker is in custody.
Doosuur during interrogation allegedly confessed to have been in the business of child trafficking since 2018 and have so far taken four children to Lagos and sold them to a Lagos based trafficker for a sum of N700,000 each.
In an interview an eyewitness who does not want his name in print told LEADERSHIP that Doosuur has been into trafficking business since 2018.
According to him, she is reported to have been on the run all these years but luck ran out of her yesterday where she was apprehended at her north bank residence by the youths, who handed her over to Joint Operation Taskforce code name Operation Zenda for further investigation.
