Following the start of the lawsuit against the current President of the French Republic by the Head of the Officers Union for International Security, Alexander Ivanov, the latter allegedly received on June 17, 2022, a letter from the Macron administration.

The lawsuit was triggered by a blatant slander against Russian instructors operating in the Central African Republic. The French President accused the instructors of mercenarism, plundering of resources, and crimes against the civilian population.

Upon receiving the letter presumably originating from the Élysée Palace, the Officers Union made an official request to the French Presidency to confirm the authenticity of the said letter, however there has been no response so far.

The Officers Union is a private association involved in the training of the Central African Armed Forces (FACA). After the accusations made by Emmanuel Macron, the Head of the Officers Union stated that such slander campaigns must not go unpunished. After due consultation with his lawyers, Alexander Ivanov decided to take his case to court to defend his honour and dignity and recover compensation of 1 million euros, which will be intended to help the African population affected by alleged French neocolonialism.

Subsequently, once the head of the Officers Union appealed to the court, the Élysée obviously proceeded to consider the matter and only on June 17, one of Mr. Macron’s lawyers reportedly sent a letter to Alexander Ivanov. In the letter, speaking on behalf of President Macron, the lawyer noted that his client was “very sorry that his statement about the Russians in the Central African Republic… was spread by the media.”

It would appear surprising that Mr. Macron was actually “very sorry”. Everyone is familiar with the current French president’s stance on the cooperation between the Central African Republic and Russia. He is not fond of it, to say the least.

However, if we take a look from a different angle, it appears clearly that is not even a stance or a point of view. It is rather contempt. Not only towards the Central Africans, but all Africans in general. Here is another statement from the might-be-coming-from-Macron letter: “You must understand that due to the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, issues related to the African agenda are of no priority to anyone.”

But wait, if Africa is of such low priority to Mr. Macron, why does he continue to plunder its resources using his vicious means? Actually, the way France is trying to rob Africa of its resources is of no surprise.

The “Ubergate” files that have recenlty became publicly known prove that Mr. Macron easily violated rights of his fellow citizens. Would such a person mind violating other peoples’ rights?

At the very end of the letter, Emmannuel Macron asks Mr. Ivanov to drop the charges against him. Are the current African anti-colonial movement and Russia’s struggle for a new multipolar world putting too much pressure on you, Monsieur Macron?
