FUDMA at the weekend awarded an honourary Doctor of Engineering degree (honoris causa) to Hon. Bichi, a member of the House of Representatives representing the Bichi federal constituency of Kano State, in recognition of his extensive contributions to educational advancement in Nigeria.

Ugochinyere, in a statement, said the award was well-deserved as Bichi as Appropriation Committee chair has been a uniting figure in the 10th House of Representatives.

He noted that Bichi as a philanthropist has helped many, providing funding for critical projects and supporting his constituents and Nigerians as a whole in their various endeavours such as education, among others.

According to him, Bichi’s competence, team spirit and all-inclusive leadership capacity made the passage of 2024 Appropriation Bill seamless, just as he expressed optimism that the tempo will be maintained.
