FUDMA at the weekend awarded an honourary Doctor of Engineering degree (honoris causa) to Hon. Bichi, a member of the House of Representatives representing the Bichi federal constituency of Kano State, in recognition of his extensive contributions to educational advancement in Nigeria.

Ugochinyere, in a statement, said the award was well-deserved as Bichi as Appropriation Committee chair has been a uniting figure in the 10th House of Representatives.

According to him, Bichi’s competence, team spirit and all-inclusive leadership capacity made the passage of 2024 Appropriation Bill seamless, just as he expressed optimism that the tempo will be maintained.

Ugochinyere said, “Congratulations to my friend, Rt Hon. Abubakar Bichi for bagging an honourary doctorate degree from the Federal University, Dutsin-Ma (FUDMA). I am absolutely thrilled to hear the fantastic news.
