Popular Nigerian rapper, Emeka Akumefule, professionally known as Blaqbonez, has threatened to file a N2.55 billion lawsuit against his colleague, Tochukwu Ojogwu, also known as Odumodublvck, over alleged defamation, online harassment, and threats.

The legal dispute follows social media posts by Odumodublvck, which labelled Blaqbonez a “sexual abuser.” Last month, Odumodublvck claimed that certain individuals in the music industry were shielding the rapper from sexual abuse allegations, while also accusing Blaqbonez’s record label, Chocolate City, of repeatedly attempting to facilitate his arrest.

In a demand letter dated July 7, 2026, Punuka Attorneys & Solicitors, representing Blaqbonez, accused Odumodublvck of publishing and amplifying malicious statements that have severely damaged their client’s reputation, emotional well-being, and commercial interests.

The document reads in part: “It is our considered brief that you, Mr. Tochukwu Gbubemi Ojogwu (a.k.a. Odumodu Blvck/Industry Machine), have, over a sustained period, conducted yourself in a manner suggesting that the ordinary restraints of law, civility and accountability do not apply to you. You have published, republished, and caused to be amplified across your social media platforms, statements of a threatening, defamatory and grossly abusive character, directed specifically at our Client.”

Through his legal team, Blaqbonez is seeking several reliefs from the court, including a perpetual injunction restraining Odumodublvck from making further defamatory publications or criminal allegations against him.

The rapper is also demanding that Odumodublvck delete all offending posts, videos, and related publications from his X (formerly Twitter), Instagram, and other digital platforms. Furthermore, he wants the court to compel Odumodublvck to publish a full retraction and public apology, which must remain pinned on his verified social media accounts for at least 30 consecutive days.

The total financial compensation demanded by the legal team includes N2 billion as general damages for injury to reputation, N500 million as aggravated damages for the repeated nature of the publications, and N50 million as the cost of the legal action.

The lawyers warned that failure to comply with the demands within seven days would result in immediate legal action without further notice.

Responding to the legal threat via his verified X handle, Odumodublvck maintained his stance and doubled down on the allegations against Blaqbonez.

“@BlaqBonez I STAND ON IT. THIS IS NOT DEFAMATION. YOU ARE A SEXUAL ABUSER. YOU DID IT. JUST BECAUSE YOU GIVE A HUNDRED BLOGS TO POST YOUR 10TH PETITION TO ME, DOES NOT MEAN I WILL CHANGE MY STANCE. IF I WAS WRONG WHY HAVE YOUR 9 OTHER PETITIONS TO ME FAILED? YOU ARE GUILTY,” Odumodublvck posted.

The ongoing dispute, which has played out publicly for several months, previously saw Odumodublvck accuse Chocolate City of criminal intimidation and assault, alongside calling out veteran rapper Jude ‘MI’ Abaga for alleged hypocrisy.
