The remains of the late Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lieutenant General Taoreed Abiodun Lagbaja, arrived in Abuja on Thursday afternoon in preparation for his final interment on Friday at the National Military Cemetery.
His body arrived at the Air Force Wing of Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport at about 12:16pm.
The scheduled funeral rites will commence this Thursday with a Service of Songs at Mogadishu Cantonment.
This would be followed by his interment on Friday afternoon.
According to the burial programme released by the Director, Army Public Relations, Maj. Gen. Onyema Nwachukwu, Lagbaja would be buried at the National Military Cemetery in Abuja on Friday.
