In what could be described as reconciliatory move, the chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC)  in Borno State, Hon. Mohammed Bolori, alongside the youth leader, Hon Sheriif Banki and other executive members, have apologised to Kashim Imam Matawalle, a chieftain of the party and committee members, they labelled as ” political jobbers ” .

The ADC chairman and the other executive members equally apologised for rejecting the constituted Transition Management Committee and Registration Committee,  earlier inaugurated under Imam headed by Hon. Ali Wurge, affirming that they had now accepted the bodies.

LEADERSHIP recalls that the party in the state on 12 January, 2026 disassociated itself from the transitional and registration committees set up under the influence of Kashim Imam Matawalle.

Bolori, while addressing journalists then, described Imam’s committees as “political jobbers” who were out to infiltrate the party ahead of the 2027 general elections.

However, the party chairman , Mohammed Bolori, while briefing journalists yesterday in Maiduguri, regretted his action, and apologised to Imam and the party’s national leaders.

He said, “I am here to set some records straight in our great party, ADC in Borno State. You may wish to recall that on 12th of January, 2026, I addressed our party’s national leaders, state stakeholders, and the general members of the party on serious allegations, misconducts and irreconcilable differences.

“Therefore, following series of meetings and holistic reconciliations, we were made to understand that we acted in error, and hence, we apologise to our national party leaders, particularly, H.E Kashim Ibrabim Imam and pledge our loyalty to him in the interest of our party and the general party members.”

The chairman further declared and acknowledged the legitimacy of the transitional and registration committees.
