Borno CAN Tasks Muslims On Peace, Harmony

Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) Borno State chapter, has felicitated with the Muslim faithful on the occasion of Eid-el-Fitr celebration.

CAN’s message was contained in a statement issued to journalists yesterday by the chairman of CAN, Borno State chapter, Most Rev Dr John Bogna Bakeni which was obtained by LEADERSHIP in Maiduguri.

The statement reads,” On behalf of the entire Christian community in Borno State, I wish to felicitate with the Muslim ummah in Borno State and beyond as they mark the Eid-el-Fitr celebration this year 2024.

“May Allah accept your prayers and supplications and reward you for your sacrifices. Let us continue to preach and work for justice and peaceful harmony in our dear State of Borno.

“As we share and exchange gifts, let us remember the poor and the underprivileged around and among us. Eid Mubarak to you all,” Bakeni who is also the Auxiliary Bishop of the Catholic Dioceses of Maiduguri, added.
