Director-general Borno State Emergency management Agency (BOSEMA) , Hajiya Ya Bawa Kolo, has pledged to sustain humanitarian support to all displaced persons in the state and those living within host communities.

Kolo stated this yesterday while distributing foodstuff to internally displaced persons ( IDPs  ) at Gubio Camp in Maiduguri.

She said the distribution became necessary in order to cushion their hardship, stressing that government under the leadership of Governor Babagana Umara Zulum is doing everything within a short period of time to relocate them back to their ancestral homes just like other camps that have already been closed officially.

While charging them to consider their plight as destined by God, the DG promised to provide them with more relief items before their final departure from the camp.

The SEMA boss also applauded the state governor for providing all the needed support to the agency towards discharging its mandate effectively.

She commended the National Emergency management Agency (NEMA) and other partners for consolidating efforts of the agency especially in providing humanitarian support to the people of the state and cautioned leadership of the camp to distribute the items judiciously.

The zonal coordinator of NEMA, Usman Mohammed Aji applauded the DG SEMA for the prompt response to the predicament of the IDPs, saying the food provided would cushion their hardships and promised to continue partnering with SEMA in all its activities and charged the IDPs to pray fervently for the restoration of peace to the state and country in general.

SEMA district coordinator Borno Central, Rawa Goni Modu charged the IDPs to exercise patience as government is doing everything possible to relocate them back home as soon as possible and advised them to live in peace and continue to pray for the leaders.
