Apparently, due to his abysmal performance within few weeks of engagement, Super Eagles’ handler, Finidi George, has resigned his position from the Nigerian senior national team.
This was made known by ex-Super Eagles media officer, Toyin Ibitoye, in a post on X.com on Saturday.
His employer, Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), had within the week resolved to engage a foreign technical adviser above George to handle the national team as Nigeria’s chances of participation in the next World Cup hangs in the balance.
However, LEADERSHIP was unable to independently confirm Ibitoye’s claim at press time.
