BREAKING: Olakulehin Crowned 43rd Olubadan

Oba Owolabi Akinloye Olakulehin on Friday, July 12, 2024, made history as the 89-year-old was crowned as the 43rd Olubadan of Ibadanland.

The new Olubadan was crowned at the Labosinde compound, the family that has the mandate, according to the tradition, to crown all Olubadan of Ibadanland.

Oba Olakuleyin immediately moved to Ile Osemeji at Oja Oba area of the city after his crowning as the new Olubadan.

Ile Osemeji is regarded as the place where the divination on the future of Ibadan was revealed.

The official presentation of the staff of office to the new Ibadan monarch and other paraphernalia of office by Governor Seyi Makinde is being expected at the popular Mapo Hall venue of the coronation.
