It urged Nigerian youths and students to emulate patriotic figures like Lt Gen Oluyede and Brig Gen Nwamba, describing them as true role models.

The students’ movement further called on the younger generation to stay away from crime and contribute positively to national progress.

Receiving the award, Brig Gen Nwamba expressed gratitude to the student leaders and reaffirmed the military’s loyalty to the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces.

He encouraged the youths to remain patriotic and law-abiding, stressing that his actions are guided by the vision of the Chief of Army Staff.

According to Brig Gen Nwamba, all proactive security measures taken by his command are aligned with international best practices, national interest, and the Doctrine of the Nigerian Army.

The PSM’s honour comes at a time when the Nigerian Army intensified efforts to foster unity and tackle growing security challenges across the federation.
