Society of Nigerian Broadcasters (SNB), Taraba State Chapter, has elected its pioneer interim executives to lead the association and promote the interests of its members.

The election took place during the chapter’s inaugural meeting at the Nigeria for Women Project Office,  Jalingo.

Those elected are Mr Lynn Adda as state chairman, Kabiru Jalo (secretary), Linda Gwana (treasurer) and Jonathan A. Tikon (public relations officer (PRO), among others.

After their nomination by members of the group, they accepted to serve in their various capacities.

In his acceptance speech, Adda described the formation of the chapter as a significant step toward strengthening the broadcasting profession in Taraba.

He urged the broadcasters to actively participate in the association’s activities and support the efforts to build a stronger and united professional body.

He noted that expanding membership and encouraging greater involvement among practitioners would help improve the welfare, capacity-building, and professional development of broadcasters.

Members at the meeting also pledged to work together to promote professionalism, unity and ethical standards within the industry, in advancing the growth of broadcasting in the state.

The emergence of the interim leadership is expected to lay the foundation for the chapter’s operations and provide a platform for collaboration, advocacy and professional development among broadcast practitioners in Taraba State.
