Former President Muhammadu Buhari has mourned the passing away of Mrs Florence Morenike Saraki, the mother of the president of the 8th National Assembly, Senator Bukola Saraki and his former minister of state, transportation and later Solid Minerals Development, Senator Gbemisola Ruqayyat Saraki.
In a statement by his media aide, Garba Shehu, the former president said, “I am saddened by the demise of Chief Florence Saraki, a strong pillar of the Saraki dynasty and a mother firmly committed to family values and the welfare of the less privileged.

The commitment and resilience she showed as she supported the family following the death of the patriarch, Senator Abubakar Olusola Saraki, and Waziri of Ilorin is praiseworthy.”
Also, Kwara State governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has commiserated with the Sarakis on the death of their matriarch, Mrs Florence. Saraki.

Florence, the mother of the former Senate president, Dr Bukola Saraki, died on Tuesday.
In a statement signed by his chief press secretary, Rafiu Ajakaye, the governor particularly commiserated with Dr Bukola Saraki and the rest of the family on the sad development.

He urged the Sarakis to be consoled by the fine legacies of their matriarch.
Similarly, the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, has commiserated with the former Senate president over the death of his mother.

Sulu-Gambari described the deceased as a wonderful mother, a great philanthropist and a virtuous wife of Dr Olusola Saraki, the late Waziri of Ilorin.

The emir’s message was signed by his spokesman, Mallam Abdulazeez Arowona.
In its condolence message, the Agbaji Development Association (ADA) said it received the news of the Sarakis’ matriarch’s demise with a heavy heart but total submission to Allah’s will.

“For us at the Agabaji Development Association, the demise of our mother is not just a loss to the Sarakis’ family but to the entire Agbaji community and, by extension, Ilorin and Owo towns, considering her love, care, and kindness that transcends all boundaries,” the group said.
