... Broadcasts Farewell Message To Nigerians

Outgoing President Muhammadu Buhari, today makes his farewell broadcast as President, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Nigeria.  

The broadcast had been slated for 7am, Sunday May 28, 2023, just one day before he hands over power to President-elect Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Buhari and Tinubu are both members of the ruling All Progressives Congress.

News of the broadcast was contained in a statement issued by presidential spokesman, Femi Adesina, on Saturday evening.

He said, “Television, radio stations and other electronic media outlets are enjoined to hook up to the network services of the Nigerian Television Authority and Radio Nigeria for the broadcast.”
