Hon. Lawal Abdul, a Katsina State House of Assembly member representing Kankara constituency, has expressed sorrow over the passing of former President Muhammadu Buhari.

Briefing newsmen yesterday in Abuja, Abdul described Buhari’s death as a significant loss to the nation and praised his enduring contributions to Nigeria’s growth and stability.

“It is with deep sadness that I received news of former President Buhari’s passing,” Abdul told journalists.

“His dedication to public service and Nigeria’s development will forever be remembered.”
Buhari, who served as Nigeria’s military Head of State from 1983 to 1985 and later as a democratically elected president from 2015 to 2023, was lauded for his commitment to national unity.

Abdul highlighted Buhari’s leadership, which was marked by discipline and a vision for a stronger Nigeria, as a testament to his unshakeable patriotism.

“As we bid farewell, we take solace in his remarkable achievements and the lasting impact he had on our nation,” the lawmaker said.

He extended condolences to Buhari’s family, particularly his wife, Hajia Aisha Buhari, and their children, praying for divine comfort during this difficult period.

Abdul also called on Nigerians, especially the people of Katsina State, to draw inspiration from Buhari’s legacy of selfless service.

“His passing leaves a void, but his vision will continue to guide us,” he added.
He urged future generations to emulate Buhari’s dedication to Nigeria.
