Former commissioner for works and APC Kogi Central senatorial candidate, Engr. Abubakar Ohere said President Muhammadu Buhari’s visit to Kogi State should be used to showcase Governor Yahaya Bello to the world as his infrastructural development initiative is unprecedented.

Ohere made the appeal in a chat with newsmen on the proposed visit of the president to the state tomorrow.

Ohere said in all senatorial districts of the state, he can attest to the fact that Governor Bello is a performer and should be showcased to the world with the projects commissioning.

He disclosed that he was the 20th commissioner for works and housing the state has produced, saying no administration has performed in terms of infrastructure development like Governor Bello.

He added that the impact of the infrastructure development and its long term advantage are the reasons why Governor Bello should be celebrated.

The former commissioner explained that with the intervention of Bello in infrastructure development, the state has about 900 projects ready for commissioning.

While pointing out that under the present administration of Governor Bello, several projects have been completed at both primary, secondary and higher institution levels, he added that the projects completed are also in the rural areas and praised Governor Bello for completing Omi Rice project.

The APC flagbearer expressed appreciation that the projects completed happened during his administration and explained that he is aware that following the busy schedule of Mr. President, only six of the projects would be commissioned.
