In a release on behalf of the head of the civil service and permanent secretary of the public service office, office of the head of service, Alhaji Bukar Kilo, said the measure was to help civil servants meet some of their needs.

He said, “The recent government decision to provide financial assistance to the state civil servants and pensioners for the second time in a short period in these challenging times is a clear testament to his excellency’s compassion and concern for the civil servants.

Buni’s swift action in paying an additional N10,000 and N5,000 to state and LGA workers and pensioners and ensuring that salaries are disbursed promptly showcases his commitment to upholding the dignity and livelihood of public servants and their families.

He said, “We are very proud to be associated with his excellency’s laudable policies and programmes aimed at enhancing the well-being of all citizens of Yobe State.”
