Buni, Yahaya Commiserate With Zulum Over Spokesman’s Death

Yobe State Governor Mai Mala Buni and his Gombe State counterpart, Inuwa Yahaya  have commiserated with Borno state  Governor Babagana Zulum, over the death of his spokesman, Malam Isa Gusau.

Governor Buni a statement issued by his director general, press and media affairs, Mamman Mohammed issued to journalists in Maiduguri described Gusau as a dedicated officer who served his principal with commitment and strong conviction.

“Gusau had professionally managed information at the peak of the security challenge in the North East and Borno State in particular.

“He will be remembered for his resilience, commitment to duty and long years of diligent service to the governor and government of Borno State.

“I condole His Excellency, my brother, Gov. Zulum, the government and people of Borno state over this sad loss at a time when his services are needed to support the government. “ Gov. Buni said.

He prayed to God to forgive his shortcomings and grant his family the fortitude to bear this sad loss.

In a related development,  the chairman of the Northern States Governors’ Forum and Governor of  Gombe State, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, has also extended condolences to Governor Zulum over the death.

Governor Yahaya, who expressed deep sorrow over the sad event,  acknowledged Gusau’s professionalism,  dedication and remarkable service to Governor Zulum and the government of Borno State.

He also praised the commitment of the late media strategist in managing information, especially during the challenging times faced by Borno State and the entire North East region.

A statement signed by the director general press affairs , Gombe  Government House, Ismaila Uba Misilli, said the NSGF chairman described the loss as particularly poignant, especially at a time when the late media adviser’s expertise and support were most needed.
