Grammy-winning Nigerian singer, Damini Ogulu, popularly known as Burna Boy, has set a new record as the first African to debut two songs on the U.S Billboard Hot 100 chart in a single calendar year.

He achieved the feat after his song ‘Sittin’ On Top Of The World’ finally debuted at No. 80 on this week’s Billboard Hot 100 chart after spending weeks on the Bubbling Under Hot 100 chart.

The song broke into the main chart following the release of Burna Boy’s seventh studio album, ‘I Told Them,’ which boosted the sales and streams of the lead track, ‘Sittin’ On Top Of The World,’ in the USA.

“@burnaboy’s ‘Sittin’ On Top Of The World’ debuts at No. 80 on this week’s Hot 100,” Billboard announced via its X page on Tuesday.
