‎Afro pop star, Burna Boy, whose real name is Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu, visited his home community, Ogbogolo in Ahoada West Local Government in Rivers State to see for himself what he could contribute to improve the living conditions of the people.
‎
‎
‎Recall that a few weeks ago, the award-winning musician had implored the online influencer and advocate, VeryDarkMan (VDM), to visit his community to inspect and survey it so they could bring schools, hospitals, and life-changing humanitarian projects. The mission was simple: see the needs, plan the solution.
‎
‎But what VDM discovered upon arrival left him in shock. The community doesn’t have proper roads. The only link connecting them to other towns, as well as the path for materials and goods, was nothing more than a bush track.
‎
‎He returned to Burna Boy and shared the truth: “Before anything is built, the community must have a proper road. How will we bring in materials for schools and hospitals if the road doesn’t exist?”
‎
‎Burna Boy went to see the situation himself a few days ago, and what he witnessed was heartbreaking.
Heavy rain had turned the bush track into a mud pit, and one of his vehicles got stuck.

VDM, his team, and security officers were there in the rain, struggling to pull the vehicle out, showing true determination and selfless commitment.
‎
‎”This is the second community in Nigeria where crude oil was discovered, yet poverty still reigns. It’s a reminder that wealth in the soil doesn’t always mean wealth for the people.
‎
‎”Today, the vision is clear: roads will be built first, then schools, hospitals, and humanitarian projects will follow. Because no community deserves to be left behind,” VDM noted.
‎
‎The musician, with his team, also visited Rivers State Governor, Sir Siminilayi Fubara, on Tuesday at the State Government House in Port Harcourt. The visit became necessary as the music star seeks government attention to the lack of an access road in his community in Ahoda West Local Government Area of the State.
‎
‎Burna Boy had earlier visited Dr Samuel Ogboku, MD/CEO of the Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC, seeking the commission’s intervention on the dilapidated infrastructures in his locality.
