Government College Kaduna Old Boys Association, (KADOBA) at the weekend paid tribute to the founding chairman of Leadership Group Ltd, late Sam Nda-Isaiah, saying they missed him and other members who died.
Speaking during the KADOBA national convention held at the Government College premises in Kaduna, Prof. Kabir Isa of Ahmadu Bello University Zaria, who said Sam Nda- Isaiah was a strong member of the association, prayed for his soul and others to rest in peace.

Also, the Emir of Lere, Alhaji Suleiman Umar said, Government College helped to shape the best behaviour and values in the society. “We should not forget the values that this College imbibed in us, values of integrity, excellence, perseverance, so that we can continue to succeed,” he said.

On his part, the outgoing president of KADOBA, Alhaji Aliyu Musa Dangiwa, said as a member of the first set in 1955, who assisted in founding the old boys association in 1976 and served as the pioneer secretary, the association is a vehicle for the development of the school.

Dangiwa said: “My presentation is drawing the attention of all members to the fact that trouble started since this college became one of the very many colleges under the care of Kaduna State government, because we used to be one of just three.

“We have enough strength as KADOBA to make great changes. With over 50 sets, if each set resolves to take one development project, you will be surprised at how much development could be attained within a year. And that is what we want, because it is when the facilities are available that the college can regain it past glory. Even though, during our own time, everything was free.”
