C/River South PDP Leaders Lament Attacks By APC Thugs

Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) leaders in Akpabuyo LGA of Cross River State have asked the State Police Command to take action and secure lives and property in the LGA.

In a press briefing with journalists yesterday in Calabar, PDP leaders in Akpabuyo LGA in Southern senatorial district of Cross River State lamented alleged act of vandalism by APC members and thugs in in the local government. 

The aggrieved party men who spoke through one of their leaders, Sir Arthur Jarvis argued that the police should be proactive and rise up to the occasion to halt the violence in the area.

“We are hereby calling on the security agencies to urgently take action to secure lives and property in the area and also arrest those identified and reported to them as perpetrators of this wicked act.

“We cannot guarantee the continued patience of our supporters if nothing is done to protect them as they may be forced to protect themselves.

“We are calling on leaders of APC in the state and Akpabuyo LGA, who are the sponsors of the acts of brigandage to stop forthwith as we are prepared for a peaceful election,” the PDP leaders said.
