LEADERSHIP reports that the Cherubim and Seraphim Church was established in 1925.

In a statement signed by Supt. General Apostle J. A. Esan JP and Supt. General Apostle Iyiomo Oyetakin, the church said the centenary celebration will be marked by series of events outlined by The Eternal Conference Board.

“As we all know, what Baba Orimolade founded on September 9, 1925 was The Eternal Sacred Order of the Cherubim and Seraphim, and since then we have been celebrating the sacred day.

“We are all happy that the church is waxing stronger and spreading to all the continents of the world as Baba Orimolade said, “If the vision is of man, it will not survive, but if it is of God, it will spread to all the continent of the world” (Acts 5 vs 39). A century later, the church can count its blessings and celebrate God’s faithfulness.”

The events will also be held in Benin Republic, United Kingdom and other designated countries in the world.

The statement further revealed that the centenary events will properly situate the C & S trajectory from the beginning to the present, showcasing how the founder – Baba Orimolade fulfilled his divine mission through preaching of the gospel of Jesus Christ and converting of many idol worshippers to Christianity in numerous villages, towns and cities in Nigeria, deliverance, performing miracles and achieving spiritual victories over agents of darkness in our society.

The statement also stated that all the 70 lieutenants appointed by St Moses Orimolade Tunolase at the formation of the church – comprising 45 men and 25 women will be recognised for their efforts at the various levels of the development of the church.

Some of these leaders also experienced healing and miracles through his ministry, which took him to several parts of the country from 1916, before he finally settled in Lagos in 1924.
According to the statement, the Baba Aladura of The Eternal, His Most Eminence, Prophet, Dr, M. I. O. Ebahor-Erebi welcomes all spiritual sons and daughters of the sole founder to be part of the epoch event.
