CAC Member, Bashir Mohammed hails Massari On SportsVille Award.

Nigeria Women Football League, NWFL, champions, Edo Queens, have declared Comfort Folorunsho Absent Without Official Leave, AWOL.

Edo Queens made the declaration in a statement on Thursday.

The Benin City club said Folorunsho packed her belongings and left without informing the management, despite having a running contract with them.

Edo Queens warned other clubs not to engage her services without due clearance from them.

The management expressed willingness to release her to any interested club in an orderly and professional manner.

“The said player still has a running contract with Edo Queens FC, hence she has no right to leave without officially informing the club of her whereabouts,” Edo Queens stated.

“This notice is to warn clubs not to engage her services without due clearance from Edo Queens FC.”

a The Technical Director of Cycling Federation of Nigeria CFN and a member of the Confederation of Africa Cycling (CAC ) Bashir Mohammed, has showered praises on the organisers of annual Sporsville Award over the nomination of  Chief Giandomenico Massari for the 2025 award.

Mohammed, a board member of the Federation, expressed joy over the feat achieved by Massari for the award.

“We are thrilled to learn that you are among the distinguished Nigerians to receive  an Award from Sportsville.

“This recognition is a testament to your outstanding contributions to sports development in Nigeria, especially cycling,” Mohammed noted.

Over 15 top sports personalities and corporate organisations have been pencilled down for the various award categories with Dr Uyi Akpata, the President of Nigeria Cricket Federation, emerging as the Sports Personality of the Year.

Already, the organisers of the annual Sportsville Special are putting finishing touches to the ceremony which comes up on Friday, March 21st, 2015 at the Eko Club, Surulere Lagos.

Frank Ilaboya, the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Sportsville Communication Services, said: “We’re  looking forward to another great show this year. As always, our customised plaques are ready, we are also finalising talks with top entertainers for the day.

All the awardees are excited and preparing for the ceremony.

“The Award Committee led by Adekunle Salami is doing everything to ensure the award lives up to its billings,” Ilaboya added
