The Intercessory Ministry of the Catholic Charismatic Renewal in Nigeria, Kaduna Archdiocese, has said it will commence a free medical outreach targeting 300 persons.
In a statement signed by the ministry’s secretary, John Paul, he said the one-day medical outreach would be held in Karji, Chikun local government area of Kaduna State, tomorrow, with the Federal Neuro-Psychiatric Hospital, National Eye Centre, National Ear Care Centre, and a private health facility as participating hospitals.
Paul explained that the programme was initiated by the Intercessory Ministry Catholic Charismatic Renewal in Nigeria, Kaduna Archdiocese.
Aside from preaching and praying, the people need knowledge and awareness of sensitive health issues. For the eyes, glaucoma is one of the world’s leading causes of irreversible blindness.
“There are so many health issues regarding the ear and even the brain that need awareness, and for the very first time, we are having three national hospitals under one roof, treating residents free in the Archdiocese of Kaduna,” he said.
“According to the hospital managements, Federal Neuro-Psychiatric and Harmony Hospitals are to attend to over 100 persons, National Eye Centre, Kaduna will handle 100 persons, while National Ear Care Centre will treat at least 100 patients,” the statement added.
