Coal City University, Enugu (CCU) has announced plans to award honorary doctorate degree to Ebonyi State Governor, Francis Nwifuru, on December 2nd, 2023
Vice Chancellor of the University, Professor Afam Icha Ituma, disclosed this during one of the activities marking tbe combined convocation ceremony of the institution.
He stated that Gov. Nwifuru is among the five prominent persons that will be awarded with the honorary degrees of the famous institution.
The Vice chancellor said the university has zero tolerance for cultism and other social vices, because of the water tight security network the institution operates with.
“We also have a cordial relationship with the staff to ensure that the school produces quality graduates,” he said.
He gave the rundown of the graduands to include 33 first class, 209 second class upper, 234 second class lower and 26 third class graduates.
The VC hinted that five personalities who have contributed immensely to the development of the nation’s economy will be conferred with honorary awards during the convocation.
