The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has announced a one-week extension for its ongoing recruitment exercise into paramilitary services, shifting the application deadline from Monday, August 4, 2025, to Monday, August 11, 2025.

In a press release issued by the Secretary to the Board, Maj. Gen. (Rtd) A. M. Jibril, the Board emphasised that the extension was aimed at “providing additional opportunity for applicants willing to be enlisted into any of the paramilitary services under the Board.”

According to the statement released on Sunday, the recruitment portal will continue to receive applications until the new deadline. Applicants were urged to submit their entries exclusively through the official CDCFIB portal at https://recruitment.cdcfib.gov.ng.

Maj. Gen. Jibril also reiterated that the recruitment process remains completely free of charge. “The Board wishes to reiterate that its recruitment process is free of charge as well as remains committed to ensuring a fair and transparent process,” he said.

LEADERSHIP reports that the CDCFIB oversees recruitment into several key paramilitary services, including the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), the Federal Fire Service, and the Nigerian Correctional Service.
