Wife of the Chief of Defence Staff, Major General Christopher Musa, Mrs Lilian Musa, has assumed leadership of Defence and Police Officers Wives Association (DEPOWA) with a pledge to uphold values of accountability, transparency and good governance in all activities.
Mrs Musa took over from Mrs Vickie Irabor on Tuesday following the appointment of new service chiefs by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on June 19,2023.
She promised to sustain the legacies and love for humanity of her past leaders.
“It is my honour to officially assume the role of the 15 presidents of this esteemed association. I’ll like to express my gratitude to God Almighty for his grace, mercy and faithfulness to my wonderful husband Major Gen CG Musa the current CDS for his unwavering support and encouragement.
“It is through his leadership that I stand before you ready to serve with passion and dedication.
“I’ll like to celebrate and extend my deepest gratitude to my beautiful mother Barr Mrs Vickie Irabor the outgoing DEPOWA president for her remarkable leadership, love, care and dedication to DEPOWA.
“I promise to sustain your passion and love for humanity,” she said.
