The management of the Ugwumba Leadership Centre has commended the US Consulate for its contributions towards the social and economic development of Nigeria.
President of the Centre, Ugwumba Uche Nwosu gave the commendation when he paid a courtesy visit to the US Consular General, Will Stevens, who was ably represented at the meeting by Joseph Kruzich, the Spokesperson and Head of Public Affairs at the US Consulate in Lagos.
He said the visit was to request a partnership opportunity with the Consulate.
He informed the Consulate that his vision of founding the Center is to support youth and women empowerment across the country. According to him, his experience growing up is the only motivation behind the programs and activities of the center.
He also announced that the Center has supported over 5,000 young entrepreneurs in Nigeria and a community of over 20,000 youths and women in Africa.
Earlier in his introduction, the Executive Director, Remy Chukwunyere informed that the Center embarked upon the visit to appreciate the Consulate for its contributions.
In his response, Mr Joseph Kruzich congratulated the Ugwumba Leadership Center for its various achievements.
He used the opportunity to enumerate possible areas of collaboration and requested the Center to do the needful and revert.
