In his address, Ugwumba Uche Nwosu announced that through this partnership, millions of young people shall be empowered through training and mentorship. He expressed fears that the major problem in our society today is lack of mentorship that should prepare the youths for the future.

Earlier, the CEO of Do Take Action, Precious Ebere informed that a “Grassroots Development Champion” (GDC) is an individual, group, or NGO registered with Do Take Action which has the passion and is willing to devote their time, skills and resources to promote sustainable development in their communities. She used the opportunity to commend the Centre for its work with youths and women across the continent.

In his speech, the executive director, Remy Chukwunyere, informed that the Centre’s mandate is to raise a new generation of leaders and entrepreneurs for Africa and said that the GDC model of Do Take Action fits into the overall objectives of the centre.

The meeting ended with the signing of a three-year memorandum of understanding for both organisations to reach and empower youths and women in Africa.
