A group under the auspices, Centre for Excellence and Performance in Governance, CEPG, has slammed a South East group, COSEYL for dabbling into Bende politics, saying it is out of “sheer jealousy,” claims that Benjamin Kalu has not changed the narrative, as concerns representation of Bende people.
The group noted that Benjamin Kalu was the only APC candidate in Southeast who stood and defended Tinubu’s agenda in the Southeast.
In a statement signed by its Publicity Secretary, Johnson Monday, revealed that Benjamin Kalu was re-elected by his people to continue his good representation for Bende Federal Constituency which is a reward for hard work.
He said, “It is of no need to dissipate energies responding to fabricated, biased, unfounded and baseless shenanigans as enunciated by the Coalition of South East Youth Leaders, who have allowed themselves to be used by selfish persons, who are hellbent on derailing the wheels of progress but has become necessary to set the facts in proper perspective, as it is said in Law, “res ipsa loquitur”.
“First, the said Coalition of South East Youth Leaders cannot stand something on nothing, following the fact that Ndi Bende, from the outset, following the sterling performances of the Spokesperson of the 9th National Assembly, Rep. Benjamin Kalu, to re-elect him to continue with his good representation for Bende Federal Constituency, in view the fact that the reward for hard work is more work.
“It is therefore infantile and laughable that a group, which has allowed itself to be bought over by filthy lucre is dabbling into the dynamics of Bende politics, thus, questioning the resolve of Bende people to do what is right, no matter what.”
CEPG noted that Benjamin Kalu has not changed the narrative, as concerns the representation of Bende people over the years and would continue the good as that was the reason he was reelected.
Monday noted that “Bende people are upwardly sound and intellectually mobile political entities, who understand the differences in balloting and will follow that pattern again and again”, despite the narrative being peddled.
