Chair Hopeful Vows To Make Council Imo’s Economic Hub

Ahead of the September 21 council polls in Imo State, the state coordinator of the All Progressives Congress (APC) coordinator for youths and students council, Engr Chizitere Ahubelem has pledged to turn Isiala Mbano local government to the economic hub of the state.

Ahubelem made the disclosure while addressing newsmen on his interest to contest the local government chairman for Isiala Mbano local government area of Imo state.

He said he was committed to bring his expertise and experience to bear and harness the potential of Isiala Mbano local government area to create opportunities for teeming youths and women and improve the overall well-being of residents.

Ahubelem noted for youth empowerment programmes said “My chairmanship agenda is built on the three pillars of empowerment, improvement, and enhancement (EIE). Empowering youths and women through skills acquisition and entrepreneurship programmes.

“Improved infrastructure development in Isiala Mbano, enhanced healthcare services access to quality education, and promotion of agriculture and economic growth will be my priority”.

“I have built and donated lockup shops and toilets to people and tens of generators and computers to schools to foster improved living.

“My appeal is to all Isiala Mbano people including the leaders to support and join me on this journey to recalibrate and reposition Isiala Mbano to become the economic hub of industrialization of Imo state as a whole. I’m committed to transparency and accountability as I promise to work tirelessly to deliver on my promises”.

The Electronic Engineer maintained that he was a core party man who respects hierarchy saying “People believe I have done well in my personal space with over 1000 empowerment and scholarships to over 1000 Imo youths. I have single-handedly organised the Mbano unity cup which brings together all the autonomous communities yearly.

Ahubelem said the chairmanship election is critical but maintained that he believes God decides issues

saying “It’s not a do or die for me as a party man. I have garnered the support of everyone including the leaders. And with their support, we can achieve greater heights for Isiala Mbano collectively”.
