In a thrilling encounter in Tanzania, a defensive error in the Super Eagles B backline was exploited by the Senegalese with just 15 minutes left to play.

This was Senegal’s only shot on target, which ultimately resulted in the decisive goal of the match.

The first half concluded goalless, with neither team able to capitalise on their chances.

Both sides exhibited solid defensive displays, ensuring the score remained 0-0 at halftime.

Gomis’s strike lifted the spirits of the Senegalese team and their supporters, as they held firm to clinch the victory.

The match statistics reflected a competitive showdown, with both teams demonstrating skill and determination.

Senegal’s win positions them strongly in the tournament, while Nigeria will be eager to regroup and bounce back in their upcoming fixtures.
