The management of Channels Television has announced the promotion of nine staff members naming Ambrose Okoh, who was previously the controller of programmes as its new General Manager, News and Current Affairs.
In a January 19, 2024 memo signed by Folusho Oluwafemi, who was also promoted to the position of Assistant General Manager, Human Resources of the television station; Aderonke Raji formerly Assistant Controller, is now Controller News; while Patrick Obuseh, the Assistant General Manager of International Operations was named the General Manager, Operations.

A LinkedIn profile of Ambrose shows he joined the station in November 1996. He is a graduate of Bendel State University, now Ambrose Alli University 1990
Ambrose began his career in journalism with the Guardian Newspaper in 1993 and joined Channels Television three years later in 1996.

A Fellow of the Guild of Editors, he brought along his wealth of experience from The Guardian Foreign Desk and has worked variously, in Channels Television as Reporter and News Correspondent.
Ambrose was later to earn himself the sobriquet “General”, in his capacity as Controller of News. He has played a constructive role in the establishment of Channels Television Bureaus in some parts of the country.

Ambrose holds a Masters Degree in Public Administration (MPA) from the Lagos State University (LASU).
Other staff also promoted are Kingsley Uranta, who is now the General Manger, Channels Academy; Adeola Olumeyan was named General Counsel; while Louis Eka and Raji now serve as the controllers, News.
Chamberlain Usoh was promoted to the position of Editor/Station Manager, Abuja
