Benue State governor, Reverend Father Hyacinth Alia, has reassured the people of the state that his administration will continue to support youth friendly programmes as part of his campaign promises towards youth empowerment.
Governor Alia who reiterated his earlier promise, while reacting to the cheering news that the Benue chef successfully completed the 135 hours non-stop cooking competition charged Benue people to replicate the same unity devoid of religious, tribal and political sentiments they demonstrated in their support to Victor Tartenger popularly known as Chef Naira Victor.
While acknowledging with delight that the chef was now waiting for recognition in the Guinness World Book of Records, congratulated him for the fit.
The governor commended chef Naira for his efforts to put Benue on the world map by embarking on the longest cooking marathon, code named cook- a- thon.
The governor who spoke through the chief press secretary, Tersoo Kula, particularly expressed excitement with the resilient spirit which the young chef demonstrated throughout the period by not allowing anything to stand on his way when it comes to accomplishing his dreams. He further described Chef Naira Victor as a champion who is tenacious, determined and a go getter.
Governor Alia encouraged him never to stop believing in himself by remaining focused in pursuing his career, describing his efforts as a stepping stone for more success and urged other youths to emulate him.
He applauded Benue people for their solidarity and support to the chef throughout the period in making his dream a reality, adding that if Benue people would extend same euphoria of sportsmanship and unity such as demonstrated to the Benue chef in other things like to support his administration, a lot would be achieved in terms of development.
