Joao Felix has departed Chelsea to sign with Al Nassr in a deal that could total £43.7 million.
Chelsea confirmed the move in a statement on their website on Tuesday. The figure comprises an initial £26.2 million fee and £17.5 million in potential add-ons.

“Joao Felix has left Chelsea and signed a permanent deal with Al-Nassr. The Portugal international made 20 appearances in all competitions for the Blues last season, scoring seven goals following his summer transfer to Stamford Bridge from Atletico Madrid.

“He spent the second half of the 2024/25 campaign on loan at AC Milan and has now permanently departed Chelsea to join Saudi Pro League side Al-Nassr. We thank Joao for his contributions during his two spells at the club and wish him well for the future.”

According to Sky Sports, Felix’s former club Benfica was previously in discussions to re-sign the 25-year-old. However, Al Nassr has now secured his services as they aim to contend for the Saudi Pro League title, having extended Cristiano Ronaldo’s contract and appointed experienced Portuguese manager Jorge Jesus as their new head coach.

The sale of Felix will enable Chelsea to expedite their pursuit of RB Leipzig attacker Xavi Simons, as further signings this summer depend on player departures. Felix had re-joined Chelsea permanently last summer from Atletico Madrid for a fee of £46.3 million after a previous loan spell at Stamford Bridge in 2023.
