Raheem Sterling is among nine players that Chelsea are looking to offload before the summer transfer window closes.
Sterling is coming off a disappointing season on loan at Arsenal and still has two years remaining on his £325,000-a-week contract.
The Telegraph reports that both the player and the club would prefer to find a ‘permanent solution to his future’, although another loan move is also a possibility.
Sterling is just one of many players the London club aims to move on in an end-of-window fire sale.
Chelsea are working to arrange sales or loans for Christopher Nkunku, Nicolas Jackson, Renato Veiga, Axel Disasi, Carney Chukwuemeka, Ben Chilwell, and potentially Tyrique George over the next two weeks.
There is also interest from clubs across Europe in Argentine defender Aaron Anselmino.
Chelsea believe they will have raised approximately £300 million in player sales by the time the window closes, leaving their net spend close to zero.
Fulham are one of the clubs that have registered their interest in Sterling, who is thought to prefer remaining in London, where his family is settled.
West Ham and Crystal Palace are other London-based teams linked with a move for the winger.
The 30-year-old remains open to considering other Premier League clubs, while foreign clubs are also monitoring the situation.
Sterling is believed to have been informed by Maresca that he will not feature for the Club World Cup winners this season and does not even have a profile or photo on the first-team section of the website.
The former Manchester City star joined Chelsea in the summer of 2022 after signing a £47.5 million deal but has struggled for form in recent seasons.
