The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Bauchi State Chapter, has urged adherents of the to support vulnerable families as preparations for the Christmas celebration gather momentum.
The state CAN chairman, Reverend Abraham Damina Dimius, made the appeal yesterday during an interaction with journalists in Bauchi.
He stressed the need for believers to prepare not only spiritually but also through acts of love and compassion ahead of the festive season.
Rev. Dimius said Christmas remains a sacred period that reflects sacrifice, selflessness and care for one another, calling on Christians to reach out to the underprivileged and strengthen unity within their communities.
According to him, supporting vulnerable families during the season is a practical demonstration of Christian values and a way to deepen faith and promote peaceful coexistence.
The CAN chairman commended the cordial relationship between Christians and Muslims in the state, describing Bauchi as a shining example of religious harmony and mutual respect.
He expressed optimism that the prevailing atmosphere of tolerance and understanding would be sustained to promote peace, stability and development across the state.
Rev, Dimius also praised Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed for what he described as purposeful leadership and commitment to the development of the state and congratulated him on his recent national award.
