The Christian Heritage International Bible College, also known as Adullam School, has commenced academic activities with the inauguration of its first batch of 51 students, marking the realisation of a vision that began more than a decade ago.
At the inaugural student orientation, the college’s rector, Pastor Samson Aliyu, described the event as a historic milestone, noting that efforts to establish the institution began in 2014.
He said what began as a vision had become a reality through God’s grace and the support of faithful partners.
“This is the Lord’s doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes. To God alone be all the glory,” he said.
Aliyu congratulated the pioneer students, describing them as the foundation upon which the institution’s legacy would be built.
“You are the first generation of students of Christian Heritage International Bible College. Your discipline, commitment and achievements will establish a standard for generations to come,” he said.
He explained that the institution was established to raise men and women grounded in the knowledge of God’s Word, strong in Christian character and in servant leadership.
“The college exists not merely to produce graduates but to develop mature disciples and faithful servants of Christ. Our mission is to bring everyone to the stature of the fulness of Christ as stated in Ephesians 4:13,” he said.
The rector noted that graduates of the institution would not necessarily become pastors but would serve as ambassadors of Christ in various sectors, including government, business, education, missions and community leadership.
“God may not call everyone into pastoral ministry. He may send you to be His light in your office, community or workplace. Wherever He sends you, represent Christ faithfully,” he advised.
Aliyu urged the students to pursue God above all else, remain committed to diligent study of the Scriptures, develop Christ-like character through integrity, humility and faithfulness, respect the college community and embrace servant leadership.
He also assured students of the institution’s commitment to providing sound biblical scholarship, spiritual formation, discipline and holistic development.
“As management, faculty and staff, we are committed to mentoring, praying for and equipping every student to fulfil God’s purpose for their lives,” he said.
He prayed that the pioneer class would produce faithful pastors, missionaries, evangelists, teachers, administrators and kingdom ambassadors who would positively impact churches and communities across the world.
Providing further details about the institution, the Rector disclosed that the college currently offers Certificate and Diploma programmes, with plans to introduce bachelor’s degree programmes in the future.
He said the certificate programme runs for six months, while the diploma programme lasts for one academic year.
The chairman of the Governing Council, Alex Ogundike, described the inauguration as the fulfilment of a divine mandate that had been in preparation for over 12 years.
He said the institution was established to produce Christians who would influence society rather than simply obtain certificates.
“This school is not about producing people who will merely seek titles. It is about raising believers who will go into the world and reveal Christ through their lives,” he said.
