The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) has commended the Executive Chairman of Soba Local Government Area, Hon. Muhammad Lawal Shehu, for his unprecedented Christmas gift to Christian families in the region.
During the flag-off ceremony held at the Dahiru Maigana Secretariat, Hon. Shehu distributed over 500 bags of rice, a gesture hailed as the first of its kind by the CAN Chairman of Soba, Pastor Nazaral Daniel John.
Speaking on behalf of the Christian community, Pastor John expressed gratitude for the chairman’s efforts in fostering inclusivity and making a tangible impact in less than three months of assuming office.
“On behalf of CAN Soba LGA, we wish to extend our appreciation for the generous Christmas gift that brought smiles to our faces. We are proud of you as our leader. May Almighty God bless you and grant you success,” Pastor John said.
Mr Dauda Ibrahim Waziri, the APC Northern Christian Forum Coordinator in Soba, also applauded the chairman’s commitment to inclusive governance. He described the donation as a testament to the administration’s fairness and urged Christians to pray for its success.
The chairman, represented by the Vice Chairman, Hon. Muhammad Garba Baban-baba, reaffirmed the administration’s commitment to inclusivity in line with Governor Uba Sani’s policies. He called for stakeholder collaboration to ensure the success of the government’s agenda for Soba.
