Kebbi State governor, Nasir Idris, has urged religious faithful to tolerate one another for peace to reign in the society.
He made the appeal to the Christians to mark this year’s Christmas celebrations.
Idris drew the attention of Christians to see the festive period as a season of sober reflection, love, joy and forgiveness.
The governor also extended his greetings to the Kebbi State branch of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) and the entire members of the association for witnessing yet another season of Celebrations.
He reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to religious freedom noting that his government remained resolute in protecting people of all faiths from all sorts of violence and banditry.
He also commended the Christians in the state for their contributions to his administration and development of the state.
